The dominoes of a VA claim tend to fall like this:
You need to prove medical nexus between an in-service event and a current diagnosis.
MOST times, you need a doctor to provide that proof through an Independent Medical Expert.
It’s hard to find an Independent medical expert that will help on VA Claims or Appeals.
When you do find one, they can cost an arm and a leg.
Vets can’t even count on VA doctors to help – the VA’s lawyers threaten doctors for helping Veterans, advising them it is a conflict of interest to tell a Veteran the etiology of a condition connects back to his or her military service.
With all that in mind, here is my FAVORITE tactic for finding an expert in a VA claim or appeal.
