This is the fifth post in a series: “5 Reasons the VA is screwing up your claim and how you have the power to fix it.”

5 Reasons VA screwing up claim

REASON #5: YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IS IN YOUR VA RECORDS.

This should probably be “Reason #1” that the VA is screwing up your claim. I’ve seen more veterans lose claims because they don’t know what is in their C-File than I care to say.

A lot of veterans think they know what is in their file. Many are surprised when they find out what is – and what is not – in their C-File.

We trust the VA puts everything in the C-file. We trust all VA employees are diligent and conscientious workers.

We know that is not true.

Remember shred-gate at the Detroit VA Regional Office?

How about the Winston-Salem VA Regional Office that is collapsing under the weight of all the paper.

Surely you’ve read about the VA’s “Paperwork Amnesty Programs” trading “amnesty” from discipline in exchange for hidden claims paperwork?

Remember what one of our Presidents said? “Trust, but Verify”.

Get your records from the VA. I can’t say it any more clearly than that.

I’ve been teaching veterans how to get their C-Files for more than a decade. The process is finely tuned and it works.

The course is in a step-by-step video with all the forms and information you need to get your C-File. You can watch the course again and again if you don’t get all the first time around.

And, when you get your C-File, you are going to find two kinds of information that you need to pay particular attention to.

Type #1: Information that you thought the VA had already, but that they do not have in your C-File.

Type #2: Information that you didn’t know the VA had, but that they are relying on to deny your claim or appeal.

Those aren’t the only two types of information, but they are some of the most critical types of information.

If you use the Veterans Law Blog® training video to get your VA C-File, that training will also teach you how to use it to actually improve your claim or appeal.

In the end, though, if you follow the steps in the training course below, the VA must respond to your request for a copy – they cannot by law decide your claim until they fulfill that request.

Take a look at the VA C-File Training Course by clicking this link.

I think it is SO important that you get your C-File that I’m offering you a 20% discount on the training course. Simply add the video to your shopping cart, and enter the following coupon code in the checkout form:

20PERCENT

Figure out what the VA needs to resolve your case, and go find that information.

If you do only 1 of the 5 things I suggested in these last few days, do that. I’ve never met a veteran that regretted getting their C-File.
